Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what customers ask us most about printed shadenet — the material, how long it lasts, what it costs to get a quote, and what happens once it's on your fence. Can't see your question? Ask us directly.

What is printed shadenet?

Printed shadenet is HDPE (high-density polyethylene) shade cloth with a logo or design screen-printed directly onto it. It's the standard way construction sites, developers and event organisers turn plain site fencing into branded advertising space — the fence is going up anyway, so it may as well carry your logo.

How long does printed shadenet last outdoors?

We developed our own UV-stabilised, water-based ink specifically for HDPE shadenet. It bonds with the material instead of sitting on top of it, which is why our prints stay sharp and legible for 5+ years outdoors — through full South African sun, wind and rain.

What sizes does printed shadenet come in?

Standard rolls are 50m × 1.8m. Custom sizes are available on request. Every roll has sewn-in eyelets every metre along the top and bottom, which makes installation fast regardless of the size you order.

How do I get a quote for printed shadenet?

Send us your logo — vector artwork is preferred — along with your dimensions and quantity, by WhatsApp or email. We'll come back to you with a firm quote and a confirmed turnaround date, usually the same business day.

What's the difference between printed shadenet and plain shade cloth?

Plain shade cloth shades and screens a site but carries no branding. Printed shadenet is the same HDPE material with your logo or design screen-printed onto it, so the fencing that's already going up around your site does double duty as advertising.

Do you install the shadenet as well as print it?

We handle the printing only — installation is done by you or your own contractor. The sewn-in eyelets every metre are designed to make that installation quick, whichever team is putting it up. Our artwork & installation guide walks through how to hang and tension it.

Which areas do you serve?

We're based in Cape Town and supply printed shadenet nationwide across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.

How many logos or colours can go on one roll of printed shadenet?

We typically print around 10 logos per 50m roll. The real limit is logo size rather than a fixed count — if you want more logos on a roll, each one just needs to be smaller to fit, e.g. 50 logos on a 50m roll means each logo has to be under a metre wide. We usually work in 1 or 2 colours per logo, but can print more if your design needs it.
